After graduating from Indiana University (go Hoosiers!), I was off and running as a newbie sales gal for MTV Networks in Affiliate Sales & Marketing in Chicago. For years, I was on the go... jetting to client meetings, presentations, and events all over the map. A young professional and happily married, things were moving and shaking...
It was when I became a mom that my life focus shifted completely when our son Michael was came into our lives. I was thrilled to be a mother and my mission became all too clear...
I am now a stay-at-home mom to 10-year-old, Michael and 8-year-old, Dylan. Both of our sons have CF, Michael, diagnosed at 10 weeks old and Dylan, when I was pregnant. We are very involved in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with fundraising and creating awareness and most recently my husband and I joined in the fight as Chairpersons of CFF's National Volunteer Leadership Initiative. We are fiercely determined to be part of helping to find a cure (!) and finding better days ahead for our boys. Every day is an adventure, but there are blessings and humor in all of it.
My days are filled with the joy, laughter, and stress of refereeing 2 little boys, running to PTA meetings and battling an insidious, chronic disease. Goodbye 100 mph corporate career, hello 100 mph soccer mom and rare disease advocate!
